Rev. Jim Whittington visited the famous dance hall singer, Bounty Killer, who was incarcerated without bond, who was accused of assault on a female. Bounty Killer promised Rev. Whittington that when he was released he would attend the crusade (Church Service) that Rev. Whittington was conducting. At Rev. Whittington’s last crusade in Kingston Jamaica, Bounty Killer and his entourage attended the service and even sat on the front row. A Prophecy was given to Bounty Killer by Pastor Mark Hatcher of Philadelphia PA and as a result of that Prophecy, Bounty Killer is organizing a program to help abused women. Praise God! Rev. Jim Whittington, World Deliverance, and Love a Child sent two containers of text books, valued at $1,000,000.00 US dollars to the Penwood High School in Kingston Jamaica. These books also were shared with other High Schools in the area. Jim Whittington has been involved in helping those in need in Haiti for many years.
Rev. Whittington is following the same path of service in ministry that his family is known for. Rev. Jim Whittington is a fourth generation minister. His father, Rev. A. B. Whittington, was pastor and minister for the Church of God for over 50 years. His uncle, Rev. H. L. Whittington, the father of Hall of Fame Gospel Singer Eva Mae LeFevre, built the first brick Church of God in the world as well as helping organize and establish over 30 other Churches in that organization including what is now know as the Mount Paran Church of God of Atlanta GA.
Rev. Jim Whittington sent 1000 Bibles written in Creole to Haiti. The organization that he is affiliated with, World Deliverance, also sent a semi-truck to Haiti that has delivered over 15 million meals to help feed the starving people there. Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere. It has recently suffered from earthquakes, storms, and now an epidemic of Cholera. More projects are in the making for Haiti and other Islands in the Caribbean in the near future
